ETCV 614 group discussion

ETCV - Summer II, 2007, Fall, 2007 - Introduction to Technology in Education

In this graduate course, students are introduced to the concept of using a virtual world as an instructional space. The instructor uses Second Life for office hours and meetings with his students. Since the students are taking this course at a distance, Second Life provides the instructor with a method for communicating with his students outside of the traditional communication using e-mail and a course management system.

During this course, the voice component of Second Life was introduced and the instructor uses voice and text chat to communicate.
